May 19, 2025
Thank You for Your Feedback
Thanks to nearly 400 families who responded to our MI Student Voice Perception Survey for Parents/Guardians. We will be reviewing this data, along with the data from our students and our staff to inform our goals and action steps for next school year. We will prepare a presentation of this data, present it at an upcoming Board meeting and share it with our staff, students and families.

Construction Update
Work in Progress: Towar New Administration Building
- Existing building removed and utilities capped off at their source
- Temporary power station installed
- Building site excavation completed and footings laid out
- Excavation, formwork, and concrete placement completed for majority of footings minus an entrance area to the internal part of the site
- Foundation wall formwork in progress and nearly complete for approximately half of the perimeter
Update: East Lansing High School Addition
Also, bids were received for the high school front entrance and cafeteria additions. The Board is being asked to take action on four of these recommendations this evening, and the remaining bid recommendations will come before the Board on June 9. Once school ends, mobilization of the front of the high school will begin. Communication will be coming out regarding summer entrance and access to high school and central office staff. As the main entrance will be under construction during the 25-26 school year, Door #8 will become the main entrance for next school year. More details to come!
A small group of central office and high school administration and office staff participated in a furniture tour today where we had the opportunity to view and try out new office, student common space and cafeteria furniture. Finally, Bond pricing for the Series 2/3 bonds will take place this week!
