Free summer meals are available for children this summer through the Meet Up and Eat Up Program at Red Cedar Elementary School, located at 1110 Narcissus Drive, East Lansing, MI 48823. Breakfast will be available Monday–Thursday from 9:00–9:30 a.m. Lunch will be available Monday–Thursday from 12:30–1:00 p.m. The program runs June 9–June 30, 2026. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:

East Lansing Public Schools will be closed on Friday, January 23, 2026, due to extremely cold wind chill conditions that are expected. An update on the status of all after-school activities will be shared by noon on Friday, January 23. All activities scheduled for Thursday, January 22, 2026, will proceed as planned. Please take care and stay safe as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and staff.

Due to unsafe road conditions, all after-school and evening activities are canceled for Wednesday, December 10. With temperatures dropping and wind picking up, we encourage everyone—especially our young drivers—to please stay home if possible and stay safe.
