ELHS Health Clinic Community Advisory Committee (CAC) Meeting
The ELHS Health Clinic CAC meeting will be held Wednesday, April 16 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Hub in East Lansing High School. Please enter through Door #1. All are welcome. Representatives from UM-Sparrow Health and Eaton RESA will be present. Light dinner will be available. The ELPS Health Clinic is scheduled to open this fall!
Last Staff Professional Learning Day Next Friday
The fifth and final Professional Learning Friday this school year is April 25. There is no school for students on this day.
2025 Safety and Security Bond for ELHS and MMS Update
We are excited to share that demolition of the current district-owned building on Towar Ave. began last Thursday! Work will continue through the spring and summer on the new Central Administration Building, with a tentative late-fall move-in date.
The bid package for the high school secure entrance and cafeteria addition was released last Tuesday, April 8. Once bids are in, reviewed and approved by the Board, preparation work will begin at the high school. This project will result in some temporary modifications to door usage and parking beginning this fall. Details will be shared when available! This project is scheduled to be completed for the fall 2026 opening.
We are also in the process of evaluating interior door hardware for the high school and middle school. This will be a separate bid package that will come to the Board in the near-future.
East Lansing Educational Foundation Annual Awards Dinner and Fundraiser
The East Lansing Educational Foundation (ELEF) will be hosting its annual Awards Dinner and Fundraiser on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. The event will be at the Eagle Eye Banquet Center.
