Young Fives & Kindergarten

In the Young Five and Kindergarten classrooms children will:

Make new friends and learn about the world around them
Talk and write about their ideas, opinions, and information
Learn letters, letter sounds, build words, and read books
Develop reading ability and strategies
Learn about counting, numbers, and shapes
Begin adding and subtracting single digits
Explore and learn in the academic areas: mathematics,
reading, writing, science, social studies,fine arts, and physical education
Develop and use problem solving strategies
