McKinney-Vento Affidavit of Temporary Housing

If your family is experiencing housing instability, your child may qualify for additional educational supports and services through the federal McKinney-Vento Act.

You may be eligible if you are currently:

  • Staying with friends or relatives because of financial hardship or loss of housing
  • Living in a motel, hotel, campground, or shelter
  • Living in temporary, transitional, or emergency housing
  • Living in a vehicle, park, public space, or other place not intended for housing
  • Moving frequently because you do not have a permanent residence

Completing the McKinney-Vento Housing Questionnaire helps the district determine whether your student qualifies for services such as transportation assistance, school stability support, access to educational resources, and other available programs.

If you are unsure whether your situation qualifies, we encourage you to complete the form or contact the district for assistance. All information is kept confidential and is used only to connect students and families with available supports.
